Ethos CEO Enrique de Vilmorin credits much of the success of the
company to the support of one of their major customers, Allied
Waste, the second largest solid waste collection company in the
country.
Eight years ago, their fleet manager reluctantly agreed to allow
Enrique to test his product in a 29 year old garbage truck that
had been taken out of service and earmarked for the junkyard
because its exhaust was testing at 84% opacity, and it took 55%
opacity to meet California standards at that time.
After three weeks of treatment with Ethos FR, the truck tested
at 30% and was consequently placed back into service for several
more years.
The company has since donated the truck to Ethos Environmental,
and during our visit an opacity test was done as a demonstration
and the truck scored 5.95%!!!
