Personal Commentary:
When we were
introduced to Ethos Fuel Reformulator in October of 2006, our
family car was
2000 Saab 9-5 with a 3.0 liter turbocharged V6. This vehicle
is rated (new EPA guidelines) at 16 city and 24 hwy, but
consistently got 18 miles per gallon in our daily commute, and
29 miles per gallon on the freeway. We treated the oil and
gas with Ethos FR, and within two tanks of gas, the vehicle
began averaging 22 mpg in commuter traffic, and 31 mpg on the
highway. We also noticed improvements in the ease with
which the vehicle started, the engine noise level, and the overall performance as well.
Our experience has convinced us that the product WORKS, and that
operating a vehicle without Ethos in the oil and fuel causes
needless engine wear, and wastes gas. From a cost standpoint, the choice is clear:
It costs more NOT to use the product than to use it.

The Saab was traded for
a 2005 Volvo S80 with a 2.5 liter turbocharged 5 cylinder
engine. We treated it with Ethos immediately, so we really
don't know how it performed without the product. EPA
ratings on this car are 18 city and 27 highway and premium gas
is recommended. We use
regular gas, and get 24 city and
31 highway - at 75 to 80 mph.
The 1995 BMW (in our
logo, above) was added to the family fleet most recently, and treatment with Ethos
was started immediately. The on-board computer had not
been reset in quite a while, and it was reading 22.1; based on
what we learned from the previous owner, this definitely
included a fair amount of freeway driving. After treating
the oil and burning few tanks of gas with Ethos, this figure
rose to 23.4, and it was all urban street traffic, no freeway
time.

Try
explaining this to your Mechanic:
-
It lowers friction
between moving parts, but it is not a lubricant.
-
It removes
accumulated carbon deposits, but it is not a solvent.
-
You pour it in your
fuel and oil, but it is not a chemical additive.
The working components
in Ethos FR are two families of ESTERS, organic compounds which
are formed from a reaction between alcohols and acids.
Ethos contains both cleaning esters and lubricating esters,
suspended in food grade mineral oil. It is non-toxic,
non-hazardous and works with any fuel used in cars, trucks,
buses, RV’s, ships, trains and generators.
The cleaning esters are high
molecular weight esters, and remove accumulated carbon
in both the lubricated side and the combustion side of the
engine. When the esters penetrate the carbon molecules and
attach themselves to the metal, it is simply impossible for the
carbon to remain on the metal; it is blown out the exhaust pipe,
or flushed into the oil filter, or captured by the fuel filter. Carbon deposits increase
friction, retain heat, and occupy engine displacement, and removing this junk from the engine
-
and keeping it from reappearing - significantly improves the operating
efficiency of the motor. The more miles that are currently
on the vehicle, the more carbon has accumulated, and the more
noticeable will be the benefit of removing it.
The lubricating esters
are low molecular weight esters, and are jagged and irregular in
shape, with protruding points, similar to 'jacks', which break
off in the voids between the molecules in the metal surfaces of
the cylinder walls, piston rings, valves, cams, bearings,
and other working surfaces in the engine and fuel system.
Gradually, as these voids are filled, the 'metal on metal'
surface contact environment becomes 'ester on ester'. The
result is a significant reduction in friction and heat, and a
better seal between the rings and the cylinder walls. Less
fuel energy is wasted in overcoming friction and generating
heat, more is converted to torque and horsepower.
The overall result is that Ethos FR
makes engines combust fuel more completely. When an engine uses
each measure of fuel to the maximum degree possible, it has two
very important benefits. It reduces fuel consumption and reduces
non-combusted residues that an engine expels in the form of
exhaust emissions, such as hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, carbon
monoxide, particulate matter and other harmful products of
combustion. Unused fuel is saved in the fuel tank, waiting to be
used efficiently by the engine, instead of exhausted in the form
of toxic emissions. Ethos FR reduces emissions without adding
any of its own components to the exhaust since it is 99.99976%
ashless upon combustion and it is not derived from petroleum.
